Lahore, 15 February 2025: The National U15 and U17 Cup began on Friday, 14 February across 11 cities in Pakistan as over 500 young players are set to showcase their skills throughout the ongoing month.

The two tournaments are part of the revamped grassroots structure introduced by the Pakistan Cricket Board in a bid to effectively scout, nurture and develop talent in all parts of Pakistan.

The players were selected for their respective regional sides after a thorough trials process, which took place in January in two phases. A total of 18 regional sides have been distributed into three groups in both the tournaments.

Each U15 and U17 regional team will feature in five 50-over matches in their respective tournament before the triangular stage, which is set to take place from 24-26 February. Topper of each group in both the tournaments will advance to the triangular stage, while the top two teams will contest for the final, slated to take place on 28 February in both the tournaments.

The National U15 Cup is taking place in Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad and Sargodha, while the National U17 Cup is being played in Abbottabad, Charsadda, Islamabad, Peshawar and Rawalpindi.

The venues for the triangular stage and final of both the tournaments will be shared later.
