COLOMBO, March 17: Intikhab Alam, manager of Pakistan cricket team, has held out assurances that Pakistan will go all out for victory against Australia in the important clash on Saturday.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Colombo for the members of the team, Intikhab said: “All the members of the team fully realise the importance of their last round robin league match of Group ‘A’ and they are charged-up to give their best in the important match.”
He also recounted the strong links between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, not only in the field of cricket but in all spheres of bilateral relations.
Ms Seema Elahi Baluch, the High Commissioner of Pakistan, while welcoming the team expressed firm hope that the national team will not only bring laurels to the country in cricket but would also prove to be the finest ambassadors of the country.
Also present at the reception were members of the Colombo diplomatic corps, members of the Pakistani community beside some prominent sports personalities of Sri Lanka.
