Lahore, 10 October 2024: Ghani Glass’ opening batter Sharjeel Khan has been fined 25 per cent of his match free for a level 1 breach of the PCB’s code of conduct for the Players and Player Support Personnel during his side’s fourth round match against Eshaal Associates on Wednesday in the ongoing President’s Cup One-Day 2024-25 at the Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad.
Sharjeel violated the Article 2.8 of the PCB code of conduct which deals with a player showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during the match. The incident occurred on the first ball of the match after Sharjeel was given caught behind off Eshaal Associates’ Asad Raza.
The charges were levelled by on-field umpires Imranullah Aslam and Ghulam Sarwar while Sharjeel accepted the charge and the subsequent fine imposed by the match referee Kamran Chaudary.
