LAHORE - Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq believes that his time is not over yet and he would soon show his class in domestic cricket to stage a comeback in the national team. He said that he got a chance to bat three times out of eight matches in the World Cup which affected his overall performance. “The team management shuffled my batting order to the requirement of the time and for that I have no objection and have tried my best to come up to the expectations. I always wanted to play to the needs of the team but that was one unfortunate day,” he added.
He was referring to Pakistan’s semi-final loss to India, which they won by 29 runs. Razzaq further stated that he was not disappointed for being sidelined from the West Indies series. “I will be back in the team soon,” he vowed. “I have nothing bad about the coach, manager or the team management for giving me little opportunity to deliver,” he added. He also welcomed the PCB’s decision of recruiting youngsters for the Caribbean series and said they too would play to their optimum to consolidate their place in the national fold. He further said that his career stats of both batting and bowling are the proof of his performance for the country.
