- Sports massage therapy elementary course 16th & 17th september 2019 at National Cricket Academy.
Lahore, 23 August 2019: As per PCB / NCA Game Education Program 2019, PCB Sports Massage Therapy Elementary Course has been designed at NCA, Lahore. Proposed itinerary is as following:
1 - PART ONE : ABOUT SPORTS MASSAGE
The Two day course will explore the theoretical and practical side of managing sporting massage therapy with an emphasis on current research. Basic information will be given by well reputed presenters on the following major subjects:
- Introduction to Sports Massage
- The Soft Tissue Therapist
2 - PART TWO : THE SCIENCE OF SPORTS MASSAGE
- The Principals of Human Anatomy and Physiology
- Exercise and the Human Body
- The Principals of Massage
- How Sports Massage may enhance performance
3 - PART THREE : PUTTING THEORY INTO PRACTICE
- Examining and assessing your athlete
- Developing touch and sense – Palpation
- How to massage - the Technique
- How to massage – practical application
- Working at sports event
- Building a successful career
4 - PART FOUR : EXAMINATION – ONE HOUR THEORY & PRACTICAL
25-30 candidates, who are FA / FSC or Physiotherapy Technicians (Diploma holders), will be given preference for selection to participate in this course. The course will be run on self-finance basis and Rupees 15,000/- will be charge from each participants. The fee for foreign participants will be US $ 500 per person. The participant will be given clothing; course material; food & accommodation on three sharing bases (for outstation participant only).
Examination which includes theory & practical will be conducted at the end of the course. The successful candidates may be given a chance to join PCB as Sports Message Therapist in PCB Domestic New Set Up, however, all the participant will be awarded PCB Introductory (Elementary) Course Participation Certificate.
