LAHORE–October 10, 2015: Chairman PCB Shaharyar Mohammad Khan has approved a 12-member Under-18 squad, with three standbys, for a 10-day stint at the Kevin Pietersen Cricket Academy in Dubai following recommendation made by the junior national selection committee headed by Basit Ali.
The remaining three national junior selectors are: Ali Naqvi, Farrukh Zaman and Ali Zia.
The team will stay at the KP Cricket Academy from November 18 to 27, and train and play a number of games with other six visiting six. (The detailed itinerary is likely to be released by KPCA next week).
The 12-member squad:
Saif Badar (Sialkot), Sajawal Riaz (vice-captain-Islamabad), Mohammad Umar (Karachi), Kashif Iqbal (Karachi), Uzair Atta (Larkana), Ali Zaryab (Lahore), Mohammad Ismail (Rawalpindi), Ahmed Shafiq (Lahore), Azam Khan (wicket-keeper–Karachi), Hassan Khan (captain, Karachi), Talib Hussain (Dera Murad Jamali), Hasan Ilyas (Lahore)
Standbys:
Mohammad Suleman (Hyderabad), Imran Ali (Lahore), Ikramullah Niazi (Islamabad).
Management:
The management duo would consist of Abdul Rehman (the Peshawar coach) and former Test cricketer and national junior selector Ali Naqvi.
