LAHORE–November 23, 2015: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shaharyar Mohammad Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee Najam Sethi and Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad have offered their heartfelt condolences over the passing away of noted literary figure Jamiluddun Aali.
Aali was a renowned and prolofic poet, fiction and travel writer, critic, scholar and newspaper columnist who distinguished himself in various literary genres, finding vast public acclaim through his many national songs.
He also founded Pakistan Writers Guild.
In a message to Aali’s son Raju Jamil, Chairman PCB said: “I am deeply saddened at the passing away of your illustrious father. Please accept my heartfelt condolences, and convey these to your entire family as well.
“Aali’s immense body of literary work, especially his national anthems, would forever remind us of his class as a poet and writer”.
