Pakistan gets representation on all-powerful ICC Executive Committee
LAHORE–June 27, 2014: Chairman PCB Mr. Najam Sethi was today elected on the newly-formed, all powerful ICC Executive Committee (ExCo). The ExCo comprises of five (5) members with representations from India, England and Australia besides two others with Pakistan being elected as the fourth and the West Indies as the fifth member of the committee.
The ExCo will have a number of committees reporting to it and will deal with important matters like constitution, anti-corruption, ethics, integrity, development and H.R. This will be the core committee of ICC which will meet with as much frequency as required to assist and advise the ICC Board on operational, management and administrative activities of ICC.
ICC Anti Corruption Code: Mohammad Amir
LAHORE–June 27, 2014: Last year, on request from Mr. Sethi and subsequent advice from a Queen's Counsel in the United Kingdom sought by the PCB on Mohammad Amir’s ban, the ICC had agreed to form a committee to review its Anti-Corruption Code as under the existing code there were no provisions for early entry into cricket of a banned player.
The work on the drafting of the new ICC Anti-Corruption Code has substantially progressed with a draft clause inserted into the Code permitting a banned player to be involved in domestic matches prior to the end of his ban period. The Anti-Corruption Code will now be placed before the Board for approval soon after which the PCB will be in a position to make an application for Mohammad Amir.

Mr. Sethi on this occasion said: “Clearly these are some great news for the people of Pakistan. Our representation on the ExCo would ensure that Pakistan remains involved in the important decision-making concerning the game of cricket. It also reflects that Pakistan now holds an important and undisputed position within the top echelon of the cricketing fraternity. The progress on ICC amendments in ICC’s Anti Corruption Code is also very encouraging and is yet another step closer to the early entry of Mohammad Amir in cricket”.
لاہور: بین القوامی کرکٹ کونسل (آئی سی سی) کے فورم پر ایک اور کامیابی نے پاکستان کے قدم گز شتہ روز اس وقت چومے جب جب چیرمین پی سی بی نجم سیٹھی آئی سی سی ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کے رکن منتخب ہو گئے۔ بھارت، انگلینڈ اور آسٹریلیا کے بعد پاکستان آئی سی سی کی تشکیل نو کے بعد وجود میں آنیوالی سب سے طاقتور ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کا چوتھا رکن ہوگا۔ ویسٹ انڈیز کو بھی اس کمیٹی کی رکنیت حاصل ہوگی۔ تمام کمیٹیاں آئی سی سی کی ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کو ہی جواب دہ ہونگی جسے ایکس کو کا نام دیا گیا ہے۔
ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی عالمی کرکٹ کونسل کے آئینی، انسداد بدعنوانی، ضابطہ اخلاق، سالمیت اور ہیومن ریسورس سے ترقیاتی امور نمٹانے کی بھی مجاز گی۔ یہی کمیٹی آئی سی سی بورڈ کو انتظامی اور آپریشنل معاملات میں میں ایڈوائس دے گی۔ عالمی کرکٹ کے ایگزیکٹو کلب میں پاکستان کے انتخاب کو چیرمین پی سی بی نجم سیٹھی کی بڑی کامیابی سے تعبیر کیا جا رہا ہے۔ واضح رہے کہ ایک عرصے سے آئی سی سی کمیٹیز میں پاکستان کی نمائندگی نہ ہونے کے برابر تھی۔
چیرمین پی سی بی نجم سیٹھی نے اس پیش رفت کو اہل پاکستان کے لیے ایک خوش خبری قرار دیا اور کہا کہ آئی سی سی ایگزیکٹو بورڈ میں نمائندگی سے پاکستان کھیل سے متعلق ہونیوالے تمام اہم اور کلیدی فیصلوں میں شریک ہو سکے گا۔ نجم سیٹھی کے بقول پاکستان اب کرکٹ کی عالمی برادری میں اگلی صفوں میں کھڑا ہوگا او اسکی یہ مقام جتنا اہم ہے اتنا ہی غیر متنازع بھی ہوگا۔ فاسٹ باولر محمدعامر کیس کی بابت چیرمین پی سی بی کہنا تھا کہ آئی سی سی اینٹی کرپشن کوڈ میں ترمیم عامر کی کرکٹ میں قبل از وقت واپسی کی طرف ایک اوراہم قدم ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وہ وقت دور نہیں جب عامر ہمیں گراونڈ میں باولنگ کرتے دکھائی دیں گے

لاہور۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔چیرمین پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ نجم سیٹھی کی فاسٹ باولر محمد عامر کی پابندی میں نرمی کی کوششیں رنگ لے آئیں ۔ آئی سی سی اینٹی کرپشن کوڈ میں ترمیم کے بعد ایک نئی شق کو شامل کرلیا گیا ہے جس کے تحت پابندی کا سامنا کرنے والے کھلاڑیوں کو پابندی کی مدت ختم ہونے سے پہلے دومیسٹک کرکٹ کھیلنے کی اجازت ہوگی۔ محمد عامر پر پابندی میں نرم کی درخواست چیرمین پی سی بی نجم سیٹھی نے گز شےہ برس کی تھی جس پر آئی سی سی نے ایک کمیٹی تشکیل دی۔ مذکورہ کمیٹی نے آئی سی سی کوڈ آف کنڈکٹ میں نئی شق کا اضافہ کیا ہے ۔ ترمیم شدہ کوڈ آف کنڈٹ کی آئی سی سی بورڈ سے منظوری جلد متوقع ہے جس کے بعد محمد عامر کی کرکٹ میں واپسی کے لے پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ آی سی سی سے درخواست کرےگا
