Lahore Whites fined for slow over-rate

Lahore, 17 September 2023: Lahore Whites have been fined 10 per cent of their match fee for maintain slow over-rate during their three-day match against Abbottabad.

Lahore Whites were found eight overs short of their target after taking into account time allowances and were charged under Article 2.22 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel that deals with the minimum over-rate offences.

Lahore Whites captain accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Sohail Khan to the charge levelled by Muhammad Imran and Haroon Malik, the two on-field umpires.

Tahir reprimanded for showing dissent

Lahore, 17 September 2023: Fata’s Muhammad Tahir has been reprimanded for a level-I offence during his side’s three-day match against Karachi.

Tahir was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel, which reads as: “Showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during a Match.”

The incident took place after he was given out caught. The batter displayed anger at the decision and delayed his departure from the crease.

The sanction was proposed by match referee Ahmer Saeed and the charge was levelled by Sultan Mahmood and Rafiq Ahmed, the two on-field umpires.

Lahore Whites fined for slow over-rate

Lahore, 1 October 2023: Lahore Whites players have been fined five per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate in their third round match against Bahawalpur at the Rana Naveed Cricket Academy Ground in Sheikhupura  from 29 September to 1 October 2023.

Lahore Whites were found three overs short of their target after taking into account time allowances and were charged under Article 2.22 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel that deals with the minimum over-rate offences. 

Lahore Whites’ captain accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Sohail Khan to the charge levelled by Raza Asghar and Muhammad Kaleem, the two on-field umpires.

Mohammad Anas reprimanded for code of conduct violation

Lahore, 1 October 2023: Lahore Whites’ Mohammad Anas has been reprimanded for a level 1 breach of the PCB’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel during his side’s third round match against Bahawalpur at the Rana Naveed Cricket Academy Ground.

Anas was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct, which reads as: “Showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during a Match”.

The incident happened when Anas showed obvious disappointment over the umpiring decision when he was given out LBW. He showed his bat and delayed his departure from the crease.

The sanction was proposed by match referee Sohail Khan and the charge was leveled by on-field umpires Raza Asghar and Muhammad Kaleem.

Moheer Saeed reprimanded for code of conduct violation

Lahore, 1 October 2023: Multan’s captain Moheer Saeed has been reprimanded for a level 1 breach of the PCB’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel during his side’s third round match against Islamabad at the Bohranwala Ground, Faisalabad.

Moheer was found to have violated Article 2.1(b) of the PCB Code of Conduct, which reads as: Repeated appealing of different decisions when the bowler/fielder knows the batter is not out with the intention of placing the Umpire under pressure”.

The incident occurred when Multan captain and all fielders made excessive appeals during the match, despite the on-field umpires having made a soft signal of not out.

The sanction was proposed by match referee Ghulam Mustafa and the charge was leveled by on-field umpires Irfan Dilshad and Muhammad Basit.

Saad Masood fined for code of conduct violation

Lahore, 10 October 2023: Saad Masood has been fined 25 per cent for a Level 1 offence which relates to abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a group B match in Rawalpindi’s fourth round three-day National U19 Championship fixture against Larkana at the Bohranwala Ground in Faisalabad.

The incident occurred when Saad was given leg-before wicket and on his way back to the pavilion Saad out of frustration hit the lawn’s fence with his bat as well as the fixture in the dressing room.

Rawalpindi’s batter was charged by on-field umpires Rana Arshad and Muhammad Waqas for the violation of Article 2.2 of the PCB’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

Saad pleaded guilty and was fined by match referee Ghulam Mustafa.
