Haji Muhammad Bashir Wins PCB Curator of the Year 2012 at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Muhammad Bashir accepted his Trophy from Mr. Wasim Bari
Haji Bashir said upon receiving the honour:
“The ground, the pitch and the outfield, are such an important part of cricket. Through this Award the PCB has for the first time given us importance and honour that was our due. I wish our grounds will see international cricket very soon”.
Ahsan Raza Wins PCB Umpire of the Year 2012 at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Ahsan Raza accepted his Trophy from Mr. Haroon Lorgat
Ahsan Raza said upon receiving the Award:
“The Pakistani umpires on the ICC panel have been recognized for their quality and consistency. It is indeed good that we too are now being recognized through the PCB’s National Awards.”
Muhammad Jamil Wins PCB Blind Cricketer of the Year 2012 at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Muhammad Jamil accepted his Trophy from Chairman Blind cricket association
Jamil said upon receiving the Award:
“Pakistan’s Blind team has done exceptionally well not just in 2012 but over a number of years. We were always supported by the PCB, yet in the last one year or so, we have never felt so honoured by the PCB. I am really happy.”
Sana Mir Wins PCB Women Cricketer of the Year 2012 at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Sana Mir accepted his Trophy from Mr. Sadiq Muhammad
Sana said upon receiving the Award:
“Personally I am overwhelmed and overjoyed! Woman cricket in Pakistan is already moving upwardly and the reason is the full support of PCB and its Chairman, especially in training and coaching facilities. And above all it has provided us the opportunity of continuous international experience which has brought rapid development. Now after the initiation of this Award and inclusion of Women Cricketers, we feel is an another very encouraging step”.
Junaid Khan Wins PCB Emerging Player of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Junaid Khan accepted his Trophy from Chairman PCB Ch. Muhammad Zaka Ashraf
Junaid said upon receiving the Award:
“This is the most exciting moment of my life… to be named the PCB Emerging Player of the Year when so many young and upcoming stars are making a name for themselves is something that I would always cherish and value”.
Saeed Ajmal Wins PCB T20 (Int) Bowler of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Saeed Ajmal accepted his Trophy from Mr. Khurram Hussain – Bank AlFalah
Ajmal said upon receiving the Award:
“I must thank the PCB. More than personal recognition ahead of such a super bunch that I share the dressing room with, I admire the PCB’s starting the National Awards”.
Zulfiqar Babar Wins PCB Most Valuable Domestic Bowler at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Zulfiqar Babar accepted his Trophy from Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad
Zulfiqar Baber said upon receiving the Award:
“To include Domestic Cricket categories in its first National Awards indicates that the PCB is now giving far greater importance and recognition to domestic cricket than in the past. I am very glad to be named the Most Valuable Domestic Bowler. It will be an incentive for me to work even harder to raise myself one step above at the international level”. He dedicated his award to his parents.
Haris Sohail Wins PCB Most Valuable Domestic Batsman at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Haris Sohail accepted his Trophy from Mr. Subhan Ahmad
Haris said upon receiving the Award:
“This is superb – both the personal recognition of my performance and potential, and the fact that these National Awards are being given for the first time”.
Nasir Jamshed Wins PCB ODI Batsman of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Nasir Jamshed accepted his Trophy from Mr. Zaheer Abbas
Nasir said upon receiving the Award:
“I am really happy… This for me was a year when I came of age as a batsman. This Award is very special. And it will keep on inspiring me to do even better – and across all three formats”.

Saeed said upon receiving the Award:
“Really great, very special personally, but the best thing is that these National Awards has not only been given for the first time but made a permanent feature”.
Azhar Ali Wins PCB Test Batsman of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Azhar Ali accepted his Trophy from Mr. Javed Miandad
Azhar said upon receiving the Award:
“ In Test cricket this was Pakistan’s best year for some time. I am very happy to have performed well as a batsman – and to be named the best of the lot. This is an honour that would keep reminding me to do even better for Pakistan in the weeks and months ahead. I thank my coaching staff and my family for supporting me all the way”.
Saeed Ajmal Wins PCB Test Bowler of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Saeed Ajmal accepted his Trophy from Mr. Intikhab Alam
Ajmal said upon receiving the Award:
“Bowling in a Test match requires fitness, perseverance and skill. You have to think the batsman out. I am happy that I was rated as the best out of an attack that is considered second to none”.
Muhammad Hafeez Wins PCB Player of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Muhammad Hafeez accepted his Trophy from Mr. Hanif Muhammad
Hafeez said upon receiving the Award:
“This is very very special. To be named Player of the Year in a year which has great performances by many, gives me a very special feeling and a sense of pride and self-achievement. Thank you PCB for starting the Awards”.
Hanif Muhammad named PCB Life Time Achievement Award at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Hanif Muhammad accepted his Trophy from Mr. David Richardson
Hanif Muhammad said upon receiving the Award:
“Having been involved for such a long time with cricket, and having received so many Awards, this still tops them all. Thank you Chairman PCB and the entire Board management! The commencement of these Awards is a beautiful idea”.
Imtiaz Ahmad named PCB Life Time Achievement Award at the PCB First Annual Awards in Lahore. Imtiaz Ahmad accepted his Trophy from Mr Zaka Ashraf & David Richardson
Imtiaz Ahmad said upon receiving the Award:
“This recognition, this Award is very special. I am indeed most grateful to the current PCB setup and especially the Chairman Ch. Zaka Ashraf for launching these National Awards. This is really very thoughtful of him. I am the oldest cricketer living in Pakistan but never seen such kind of awards function in my life”.

Saeed Ajmal said upon receiving the Award:
“Around the cricketing world, Pakistan over the years has been known for its bowling attack. To be named the best for the year from such a special group… for me this is an out of this world. It took me 16 years to reach at this point in my life. I donate all the prize money to my newly inaugurated academy in Faisalabad”.
