Lahore, 14 October 2021: Southern Punjab Blues’ Huzaifa Shafiq has been reprimanded for a level 1 offence for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during the National U19 Cup fixture against Northern Blues at Islamabad’s Shalimar Ground.
Huzaifa delayed his departure from the crease after being given caught behind and, as such, was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
On-field umpires Mohammad Kaleem and Fahim Bukhari levelled the charge on Huzaifa, who accepted the sanction proposed by match-referee Athar Laeeq.
Southern Punjab Blues won the one-day match by 76 runs.
