HBL PSL logo unveiled
Lahore – December 15, 2015: HBL, Pakistan’s largest bank, joined hands with Pakistan Super League, the country’s leading sports brand, as the tournament’s title sponsor of the first ever Cricket League Series for Pakistan. With this partnership in place, the league will now officially be known as HBL Pakistan Super League, as announced at a press conference held today. The highlight of this press conference was the unveiling of the HBL PSL logo.
Speaking at the occasion, Chairman HBL PSL Governing Council, Mr. Najam Sethi said: I want to thank HBL for partnering with us. When we went to the market, we knew that the time was right for distinctive brands to join us on this exciting journey and this is exactly what happened. The HBL PSL is going to be a grand event and I am particularly excited about HBL’s marketing plan for promoting this association.”
The Chief Marketing Officer HBL, Mr. Naveed Asghar, added “HBL, Pakistan’s largest bank, is honored and delighted to partner with Pakistan Super League to bring the largest cricketing event of Pakistan – the HBL PSL. HBL is a national institution that has always played an instrumental role in promoting sports and sportsmen, especially cricket, with some of the largest sporting stars in the country having realized their dreams with HBL. Cricket is a sport that is passionately loved and enjoyed by the entire nation and it brings us immense pride to launch a platform that will help in reviving the sport. HBL PSL will go a long way in adding to the competencies and skills of our players. Sharing his thoughts on the League, HBL PSL Brand Ambassador Ramiz Raja said: “HBL PSL will be a great addition to our cricket. Speaking from my experience, this will go a long way in nurturing local talent and providing our youngsters with international exposure.”
A franchise-based T20 league being organized by Pakistan Cricket Board, the first season of the HBL PSL In a race against time, HBL PSL has managed an impressive roster of top international cricketers and coaches. In addition, franchise ownership rights were sold for a whopping $ 93 million, making it the single largest investment in any kind of sport in Pakistan.
