Khizar Shah charged for showing dissent 

Lahore, 16 September 2023: Islamabad’s Syed Khizar Shah has been fined 35 per cent of his match fee for a level-I offence during his side’s match against Larkana at the Muzaffarabad Stadium.

Khizar was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel, which reads as: “Showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during a Match.”

The incident took place after he was adjudged caught behind. The batter indicated with his gesture that the bat had touched the ground and, subsequently, delayed his departure from the crease.

The sanction was proposed by match referee Nadeem Arshad and the charge was levelled by on-field umpires Ahmed Shahab and Waqar Ahmed.

Muhammad Ibrahim reprimanded for showing dissent 

Lahore, 17 September 2023: Quetta’s Muhammad Ibrahim has been reprimanded for a level-I violation during his side’s match against Azad Jammu and Kashmir at the Mirpur Cricket Stadium.

Ibrahim was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel, which reads as: “Showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during a Match.”

The incident took place after he was adjudged LBW. The batter indicated with his gesture that the ball had touched his bat, subsequently, delayed his departure from the crease.

The sanction was proposed by match referee Khalid Jamshed and the charge was levelled by on-field umpire Hassan Mahmood and Mir Dad.

Code of conduct breaches in fourth round

Lahore, 10 October 2023: Abdul Wahid Bangalzai has been fined 25 per cent for a Level 1 offence which relates to abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a group A match in Quetta’s fifth round four-day Hanif Mohammad fixture against Larkana at the Mirpur Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

The incident occurred when Abdul Wahid was bowled in the 37.4 over of the innings on the second day and on his way back to the pavilion Bangalzai out of frustration threw his helmet and bat in the air near boundary rope. 

Quetta’s batter was charged by on-field umpires Ahmed Shahab and Irfan Haider for the violation of Article 2.2 of the PCB’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

Abdul Wahid pleaded guilty and was fined by match referee Sohail Idrees.

In a separate incident, in the same match, Larkana have been fined 10 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate.

Larkana were found seven overs short of their target after taking into account time allowances and the team’s captain Faraz Aziz was charged under Article 2.22 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel that deals with the minimum over-rate offences.
