ISLAMBAD: Pakistan cricket team on Monday visited the National Assembly and witnessed proceedings of the Lower House of the Parliament. Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi welcomed the cricket team. “We welcome the cricket team in the National Assembly and appreciate their performance in the semifinal of World Cup-2011 held in India,” he said. The question-hour session was in progress when the team along with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt, manager Intikhab Alam and coach Waqar Younus arrived in the Prime Minister gallery. The members of the National Assembly gave a warm welcome to the national team members by thumping desks.
