Lahore October 16, 2015: The conference on “New Club Interactive Coaching Program” was held today at National Cricket Academy. The PCB’s Game Development initiated a program to depute its Regional Coaches for coaching of Players/Coaches in affiliated Clubs of DCAs/Zones across Pakistan on a regular basis.
Chairman PCB Shaharyar M Khan was a special invitee to the conference. He gave his valuable inputs while addressing the conference. It was pertinent to mention here that all Regional and Association heads also attended the conference.
The basic objective is to provide modern coaching facilities available with PCB to the players at the grass root level. It would invariably help to go for a paradigm shift and enable to achieve objectives i.e. System Oriented Quality Cricket. The venue, names/number of players and allied details would be discussed, worked out by regions/DCAs in consultation with the respective DCA/Zones which in turn will be intimated.
Steps for this endeavor:
- All Regional Coaches will visit clubs regularly, and according to a fixed schedule that would be provided by the NCA.
- The coaches will identify new talent in clubs without any age limit.
- The coaches will train the club coaches.
- Exceptional talent will be summoned to the NCA directly.
- Data will be shared with the Regions/Districts on a continuous basis.
- Coach Program efficiency will be measured through, how many of the identified players make it to the Inter District Level.
- The program will absorb all current talent hunt programs and make it to one unified program that runs continuously.
