Lahore March 21, 2011: Chairman PCB Mr. Ijaz Butt, Chairperson PCB Women Wing Mrs. Bushra Aitazaz, and PCB COO Mr. Subhan Ahmed have extended their deepest condolences to the family of ex-Chairperson PCB Women Wing Mrs. Shirin Javed on her demise . The Pakistani Cricketing Fraternity sympathizes with Mrs. Javed's family at this difficult time.
Mrs. Shirin Javed was a role model for all Pakistani Women and distinguished herself with her tireless efforts for the betterment of Pakistani Women. Mrs. Shirin Javed's time as Chairperson of the PCB Women Wing was marked by critical developments for women's cricket. Mrs. Javed was the inspirational force behind the Pakistan Women's Team which had shown consistent progress and created history by winning the Gold Medal at the Asian Games. Mrs. Javed had worked diligently to raise the standards of Pakistan Women's Cricket both at the domestic and International Level. To safeguard the futures of our women players Mrs. Javed has also managed to convince many institutions to open departments exclusively for Women's Cricket to help provide support to our players and enable them to pursue their passion. Her efforts and commitment to Women Cricket in Pakistan will never be forgotten.
The entire PCB management and especially the PCB Women Wing are deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs. Javed and their thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time of grief. May Allah give her family and loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
