Lahore-March 24, 2017: The PCB Women’s wing is organizing 12th Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah National Women Cricket Championship- Seniors which is to commence from March 27, 2017 to April 14, 2017. The matches will be (50) Overs a side wherein 12 Regional Teams i.e. Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Multan, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Hyderabad, and three departmental teams i.e. Zarai Tarakiati Bank (ZTBL), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Higher Education Commission (HEC) will be participating in the tournament. The championship will be played in 3 Rounds in total i.e. Qualification Round wherein 12 Regional Teams will be competing and are divided into three groups.The top team from each group will qualify to play the 2nd Round to be played on League basis, where five teams (three qualified regions and two teams i.e. PCB-Greens and PCB-Blues will compete).
Later from April 9, 2017, three departments ZTBL, SBP and HEC and PCB XI (compromising of players participated earlier in the tournament) will play against each other on “Round Robin League” and the final will be played between the top (2) teams.
