Karachi, 10 February 2025: The sixth round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I concluded on Monday with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) winning their respective matches. Meanwhile, the match between Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) and Ghani Glass ended in a draw, while Higher Education Commission (HEC) defeated Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) on Sunday evening.
At KCCA Stadium, after resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 127 for two in 36 overs, Ghani Glass were bowled out for 288 in 101.2 overs with Mohsin Riaz top-scoring with 83. In reply, chasing 196 to win, KRL were 31 for one in nine overs when stumps were drawn.
At SBP Sports Complex, resuming their second innings at 20 for two in six overs, Eshaal Associates were dismissed for 197 in 49.1 overs, handing SBP a 164-run win. For SBP, Mohammad Abbas bagged four wickets in the second innings, while Fawad Alam also chipped in with three wickets.
At Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Ground, WAPDA successfully chased down a 354-run target for the loss of seven wickets. Resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 180 for three, WAPDA achieved the target in 121.2 overs. Mohammad Arif added six runs to his overnight score and was dismissed for 107, while Ayaz Tasawar returned undefeated on 58.
The seventh-round fixtures of the tournament will be played from 12 to 15 February in Karachi.
