Lahore, 17 October 2023: Play on second day of the seventh round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2023-24 suffered significantly as rain continued to disallow play across venues. The day’s play between Rawalpindi and Multan at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, FATA and Peshawar at Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, and Lahore Blues and Karachi Whites at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore was called off owing to the weather conditions. Meanwhile, at Pindi Cricket Stadium, after batting in the rain-interrupted day, Lahore Whites posted 171 in 39 overs, while losing eight wickets in the process.
Lahore Blues v Karachi Whites at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore:
Rain disallowed any play to take place on day two at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Karachi Whites remain at 21 for five in nine overs.
Rawalpindi v Multan at Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi:
Play was called off for day two at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium. Rawalpindi remain at 18 for no loss in 6.5 overs.
Lahore Whites v Faisalabad at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi:
At the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Lahore Whites resumed from their overnight score of 23 for no loss in 6.2 overs. They took their total to 171 for eight after batting for 39 overs. Abid Ali (36, 47b, 7x4s) and Muneeb Wasif (35, 48b, 5x4s) were the top scorers for the side.
Khurram Shahzad and Arshad Iqbal returned with three wickets each for Faisalabad.
