Lahore-November 28, 2018: PCB’s Women Wing hosted a three-day Zonal Staff Seminar at National Cricket Academy, Lahore from November 26 to 28, 2018 where 14 participants from five regions i.e. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Karachi and Multan were present. The purpose of the seminar was to provide a platform for sharing the Women Cricket Vision 2022, Game Development initiatives comprising of Cric 4 Us and Skills 2 Shine Programs, implementation strategies for programs, challenges, achievements and the expectation from zonal academies.
The participants during the seminar were briefed by Haroon Rasheed, Director Domestic Cricket. From Women’s Wing, Shahid Aslam, SGM, Ayesha Ashhar, GM, and Ayesha Jalil, Assistant manager talked on various aspects regarding the working of the wing. Jalal Uddin, Chief Selector, Asmavia Iqbal and Akhtar Sarfraz, women’s team selectors, Mumtaz Zaidi, HR expert, and women’s team current cricketers Nashra Sundhu and Diana Baig also briefed the participants in the seminar.
Besides this, the participants shared the zone wise progress, provided feedback, identified areas of improvement and suggested remedial action for finalizing future implementation strategies for programs.
In addition, the seminar featured sessions on coaching, health and fitness, child protection and a brief overview on administrative and logistical processes, selection matters and documentation requirements.
