MULTAN: PCB Dynamites maintained its dominance throughout the week long Triangular One-Day Women's Cricket Tournament 2018 to clinch the title here at Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Nida Dar and Javeria Khan put Challengers bowling attack to sword to get centuries respectively in Dynamites’ 283 for four and later kept Challengers quiet allowing them score just 93 runs in 38.5 overs.
Nida carried the bat to not only score a century but also saw here team crush Challengers by 190 runs while Javeria along with Nida bridged a daunting task for Challengers to achieve.
Nida Dar remained not out at 109. Her performance was so much dominating like her team that she took 101 balls to reach her mark. In between she cracked 11 boundaries that also included one six. As of Javeria Khan, her 106 came off 127 balls, which laced with 15 fours.
Both these girls did not let their rival bowling attack settle to find a proper length. After Javeria left the crease, Aliya Riaz came in to score 24 in 20 balls and afterwards Javeria Rauf patiently got 23 in 43 balls.
Dynamites captain read the conditions perfectly and decided to bat first after winning the toss. Their main batswomen did not let their skipper down by any sense and with every passing over they kept building the score.
After Dynamites gathered a pile of score, their bowlers kept tightening their grip on the match. Apart from Sidra Amin who could score 48 runs and remained not out, no other Challengers batswomen could last for a longer duration at the crease. They all remained quite a bit jittery and were under immense pressure to maintain the required run rate.
Dynamites bowling led by Natalia Pervaiz who was supported by Aliya Riaz and Subhana Tariq kept tumbling Challengers wickets with frequent interval. Natalia had three victims while Aliya and Subhana shared two scalps.
With this dominating win, PCB Dynamites claimed a purse of Rs 200,000 in prize money while PCB Challengers received Rs 100,000.
Both the century making girls Nida Dar and Javeria Khan of Dynamites shared the Player of the Match award and were given 5000 while Best Player of the tournament also went to Nida Dar and she got Rs 10,000.
