PCB Disciplinary Committee slaps bans, warnings
- The PCB Disciplinary Committee, headed by Mr Zakir Khan, Director International Cricket Operations, has banned the following for the remainder of Domestic Cricket Season 2014-15 following an inquiry:
- Mr Muhammad Ashraf Ali, PCB Match Referee (Charge: Allowing inclusion of a banned player in the playing eleven of the Rawalpindi Rams in the final of the Under-19 Inter-Region three-day tournament).
- Mr Shahid Anwar, Head Coach of the Bahawalpur Stags (Charge: including an unregistered player – Aqib Javed –in the quarterfinal match of the Haier Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver 2014-15 in the Bahawalpur Stags Cricket Team as its coach without approval of the competent authority).
- The Disciplinary Committee has issued Mr Muhammad Kamran Khan, Assistant Coach Rawalpindi Region a final warning to refrain from the violation of PCB Rules and Regulations after inquiry. (Charge: Including a banned player in the playing eleven of the Rawalpindi Rams in the final of the Under-19 Inter-Region three-day tournament).
- And the Committee has directed Lt. Col. (Retd.) Raashid Ahmed, Secretary Sports Board SSGCL, a PCB affiliated department, to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Mr Muhammad Asim, Video Analyst SSGCL, in line with relevant rules and regulations and to take appropriate action after inquiry (Charge: Posting inappropriate and defamatory material on social media).
