Mount Maunganui, 23 March 2025: New Zealand beat Pakistan by 115 runs at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series on Sunday.
New Zealand, after being put into bat, scored 220 for six courtesy a 20-ball half century from Finn Allen. The right-hand batter innings included six fours and three sixes.
Tim Seifert (44, 20b, 3x4s, 4x6s) and Michael Bracewell (46 not out, 26b, 5x4s, 2x6s) made valuable contributions. For the tourists, Haris Rauf starred with figures of 4-0-27-3. Abrar Ahmed picked up two wickets as well.
In turn, Pakistan were bowled out for 105 in 16.2 overs. Abdul Samad top-scored with a 30-ball 44 including four fours and two sixes.
For New Zealand, Jacob Duffy was the most successful bowler, securing four wickets for 20 in four overs.
The final T20I of the series is scheduled to take place on 26 March at the Sky Stadium in Wellington.
