Northampton, 21 May 2024: ECB Women’s Development XI beat Pakistan Women by 26 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in the only One Day Warm up match at County Ground, Northampton.
Chasing 151, Emma Lamb top scored with 34 off 37 balls, hitting five fours for ECB Women’s Development XI. Freya Kemp chipped in with a 22-ball 27 with the help of five boundaries. ECB Development XI was 26 runs ahead on DLS with the scorecard reading 112-5 when the rain arrived. Rameen Shamim picked up two wickets while Umm-e-Hani and Nashra Sundhu dismissed one batter each.
Earlier, after opting to bat first, Pakistan Women scored 150 all out in 43.2 overs. Sadaf Shamas top scored with 30 off 39 balls comprising five fours. Hannah Baker picked up four wickets for 26 runs in 9.2 overs while Ryana MacDonald-Gay bagged three wickets.
Pakistan Women and England Women will now take on each other in the ODI series starting on 23 May (Derby) with the second and third match taking place on 26 May (Taunton) and 29 May (Chelmsford).
