City School, MAO College bag wins on 12th day of Inter-College Ramadan T20 Cup

Lahore, 3 April, 2024: The 12th day of the Inter-College Ramadan T20 Cup saw four teams come head-to-head in two matches in Lahore and Karachi.

Lahore

Government MAO Graduate College beat Government College Township by six  wickets at LCCA Ground, Lahore. MAO College’s Anees ur Rehman scored an unbeaten 35 off 36 runs with the help of two boundaries while opener Jazaib Abbas managed to score 27 off 34 (2x4s) to seal the 123-run target. Earlier, MAO College bowlers Faheem Abbas, Mohammad Yousaf and Anees ur Rehman managed to bag two wickets each and succeeded in restricting Government College Township at 122-8. Government College Township’s Opening batter Muhammad Shahzad top scored with 35.

Karachi

The City School won by four runs in their match against Government College Asifabad at the IBA Cricket Ground in Karachi. City School’s Umer Usman  led his side with a high-score of 57 off 42 (4x4s, 3x6s) while Mohammad Ibrahim managed to make 18 off 16 with the help of four boundaries pushing their total to 119-8 in 20 overs. The City School bowlers further managed to bundle out Government College Asifabad at 115  runs in 18.4 overs with Muzammil Ahmed Malik bagging a three-wicket haul and Saif Sarfaraz, Hashir Ali and Hamza Khan all returning with two wickets each.
