Lahore, 29 October 2021: In a Pool A fixture being staged at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha, Central Punjab U19 Whites defeated Balochistan U19 Whites by seven wickets in the third-round match of the National U19 Cup.
Off spinner Hasan Ali and opening batter Azan Awais were the star performers for Central Punjab U19 Whites as Hasan picked four wickets, while Azan scored unbeaten 72.
After being put into bat, Balochistan were bowled out for 123 in the 45th over. Hasan with his off-spin bowling ended-up with match figures of four for 24 in 10 overs. Right-arm fast Muneeb Wasif took two for 19.
In reply, Azan (72 not out off 69 balls, 11 fours, one six) and Ali Razzaq (21 not out off 40 balls, two fours, one six) knitted unbeaten 76-run partnership for the fourth wicket and helped Central Punjab U19 Whites chased down the target for the loss of three wickets in the 28th over.
