Karachi, 16 December 2022: Test cricketer Abid Ali’s century led Central Punjab to a 134-run win over Southern Punjab in the fourth round match of the Cricket Associations Challenge at the TMC Cricket Ground in Karachi on Friday. Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also won their matches.
Central Punjab v Southern Punjab
After being put into bat, Central Punjab scored 304 for five in 50 overs. Abid Ali top-scored with a 133-ball 114. In return, Southern Punjab were dismissed for 170 in 38 overs. Central Punjab’s Mohammad Waleed bagged three wickets for his side.
Balochistan v Sindh
Unbeaten 106 by Azeem Ghumman led his side Balochistan to a 34-run win over Sindh. Batting first, Balochistan scored 245 for eight in 47 overs. In return, Sindh were bundled out for 211 in the 46th over. Balochistan Abdul Hanan was the pick of the bowlers for his side with four for 28, while for Sindh, Hasan Mohsin top-scored with 69.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa v Northern
In the third match of the fourth round, half-centuries by Israullah and Maaz Sadaqat led their side to score 223 for nine in 43 after they were put into bat first. Maaz scored 64, while Israrullah scored 51 and the opening pair added 109 runs.
Northern’s Saad Nasim bagged five wickets for 45.
In return, Northern were dismissed for 184 in the 41st over. Maaz Sadaqat took four wickets for 23 for the winning side.
