Multan, 24 October 2023: At Sheikh Khalifa Sports Complex in Rahim Yar Khan, Abbottabad defeated Hyderabad by three wickets after comfortably chasing down 187 in 47.3 overs on day three of the last round of Hanif Mohammad Trophy. At Multan Cricket Stadium, Quetta ended the day at 92 for one, in pursuit of 191, which was the target set by Islamabad after the side was bowled out for 238 on the third day.

Islamabad resumed from their overnight score of 77 for 3 in 13 overs at Multan Cricket Stadium. They managed 238 all out in 71.2 overs. Hassan Nawaz (71, 62b, 8x4s, 4x4s) top-scored for his side. Faizan Riaz (53, 80b, 6x4s) and Mohammad Hammad (47, 128b, 6x4s) were the other contributors with the bat. Jalat Khan registered a five-fer and Najeebullah Jr picked up three wickets.
Quetta, asked to chase 191 in the final innings, posted 92 in 23 overs, losing one wicket in the process. At stumps, Hazrat Wali (47 not out, 70b, 8x4s) and Latifullah Shah (24 not out, 43b, 4x4s) were unbeaten on the crease. Mohammad Nadeem was the only wicket-taker for Islamabad, in the day.

At Sheikh Khalifa Sports Complex, Hyderabad began their day from 220 for nine in 75 overs. They posted 220 in the second innings, courtesy of Rizwan Mehmood (82, 97b, 14x4s, 1x6). Mohammad Suleman complemented Rizwan’s efforts and scored a half-century (56, 132b, 8x4s). Khalid Usman was the star performer for Abbottabad, returning with seven scalps. Mansoor Ali picked up two wickets as well.
Abbottabad were given the target of 187 in the final innings, which was completed in 47.3 overs. Mehrooz Rasheed (46, 88b, 3x4s, 1x6) led the chase. He was supported by Khalid Usman (38, 38b, 5x4s) and Anees Azam Khan (34, 56b, 5x4s).
Spinner Jawad Ali returned with three scalps while Mustafa Nasir registered two.
