Chairman PCB Shaharyar M. Khan commends skipper Misbah, Team Pakistan and its management for great all-round performance
LAHORE–November 3, 2014: Mr Shaharyar M. Khan, Chairman PCB, has congratulated skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, Team Pakistan, head coach Waqar Younis, manager Moin Khan and the entire support staff on a magnificent performance against Australia in the second Test at Abu Dhabi, thus wrapping up the rubber 2-0.
Immediately after the win was secured, Chairman PCB called up Misbah to felicitate him.
The following is the transcript of the PCB Chairman’s message to Misbah-ul-Haq:
“I wish to felicitate you on this great Test series victory. The Team Pakistan under your dynamic leadership played positive cricket and performed with great aplomb to outclass a top team like Australia.
“Pakistan’s batting throughout was a revelation, with Younis Khan and yourself in the forefront while youngsters Sarfaraz Ahmed, Azhar Ali and Ahmed Shahzad also made superb contributions. Our inexperienced bowling also gave an above par display, and, above all, our fielding showed discernable improvement.
“It thus was a great all-round performance, and for this the contribution of the coaching staff headed by Waqar Younis and manager Moin Khan must also be acknowledged.
“Whitewashing Australia shall remain a proud moment in our cricketing history as well as a source of pride for the whole nation”.
