Rawalpindi, 6 February 2021: The second Test match of the Pakistan-South Africa ICC World Test Championship series is evenly poised after a total of 12 wickets fell on a dramatic day-three at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.
After bowling out South Africa for 201 runs in their first innings, Pakistan finished day-three at 129 for six in their second innings, an overall lead of 200 runs with four wickets remaining.
At stumps on day-three Mohammad Rizwan was batting on 28 with Hasan Ali yet to open his account. Faheem Ashraf scored 29 runs.
For South Africa left-arm-spinners George Linde and Keshav Maharaj took five of the six wickets to fall, Linde has so far taken three while Maharaj has taken two wickets.
Earlier, Hasan was the bowling hero for Pakistan, the right-arm pacer took five wickets for 54 runs in 15.4 overs, the second five-wicket haul of his Test career as South Africa conceded a 71-run first innings lead.
After stumps, Pakistan’s Hasan Ali and South Africa’s George Linde held online virtual media conferences.
